Terms of Service

The rules for buying from the DT Studio Supply catalogue, from placing an order to sending a piece back. Each order is paid for once and stands on its own.

DT Studio Supply is operated by Digital Talk LLC, 1706 N 1200 W Ste 4-2061, Layton, UT 84041.

The parties and your consent

DT Studio Supply is a catalogue of art and craft supplies sold online by Digital Talk LLC, 1706 N 1200 W Ste 4-2061, Layton, UT 84041 (“we”, “us” and “our”). The terms on this page govern every visit to dtstudiosupply.com and every purchase made through it.

Browsing the site or placing an order means you accept these terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Shipping Policy and the Returns Policy, which are part of them. If you do not accept them, please leave the site and do not order.

Who may buy

Orders are accepted only from people aged 18 and over. Placing one confirms that you have reached that age and that the name, email and address you give are accurate and belong to you.

We sell only for delivery to the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Orders cannot be sent to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or APO and FPO addresses, or to any other country.

Conduct on the site

The site is here for you to look through the catalogue, buy for yourself and write to us, not for any commercial use. While you are on it, you will not:

  • order with invented details, or pay with a card that you have no right to use;
  • collect pages, prices or data from it with bots, scrapers or other automated tools;
  • disrupt the site, attack its security or get in the way of other shoppers;
  • use the site or the contact form to send spam, abuse or anything unlawful.

If these terms are broken, we can block access to the site and turn down orders.

Copyright in the catalogue

The words, photographs, catalogue numbers, layout and the DT Studio Supply name and mark belong to Digital Talk LLC or are used with permission. Viewing a page, or printing one for your own reference, is fine. Copying, selling or republishing any of it needs our written permission first.

Catalogue entries and photographs

Every product is sold under the DT Studio Supply name. Each product page describes what you receive, with the count and the size, material and colour details we list for it. Sizes and weights marked as approximate may vary slightly from piece to piece.

Every product and lifestyle picture on the site was made with an image generator to show the product as its entry describes it. The people and rooms in these pictures do not exist. Colour also shifts from one screen to the next, so a piece may look slightly different in the hand. If a picture and the written entry disagree, the entry (its description, counts and specifications) is what you are buying.

A kit is one item made up of the pieces named on its page. Those pieces are fixed and cannot be exchanged for others.

How an order becomes a sale

Placing an order is an offer from you to buy what is in your bag at the prices on screen. The sale is agreed when we accept that offer, which we do by dispatching the parcel. Until then we can turn down or cancel an order: for instance if a piece cannot be supplied, the address is outside our shipping area, a price or entry on the site was wrong, or the order looks fraudulent. If we cancel after payment has been taken, we return the whole amount to the card that paid.

No more than 20 of any one product fit in a single order.

To change or cancel an order, write to support@dtstudiosupply.com with the order number as early as you can. After the parcel has left the warehouse the order is fixed, and the returns policy takes over.

Prices in the catalogue

Prices are set in U.S. dollars. You pay what your bag and the checkout page show at the moment you place the order, and standard shipping within the contiguous U.S. costs nothing.

Prices are checked with care, but an error can slip through. If something you ordered carried the wrong price, we will get in touch before it is dispatched. You can then take it at the right price or cancel, and any money already taken for a cancelled order is returned in full.

Paying for an order

We accept Visa or Mastercard cards. Payments are handled by Woosa Payments (Woosa B.V., KvK 71751513, Zwolle, the Netherlands) in partnership with Adyen N.V., licensed and supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank. The card details typed at checkout go to the processor so the payment can be authorized. We do not hold on to your card number or its security code.

Each order is paid for once, at checkout, and that is the end of it: no subscription, no membership, no card saved for next time. A card is charged again only when you place another order.

Paying confirms that the card is yours to use. A declined payment means no order is placed and no charge is made.

Delivery and risk

Every order goes by free standard shipping. We pack it within 2 business days, and USPS or UPS then takes 3 to 7 business days to bring it to your door. Orders ship to the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, and APO and FPO addresses fall outside that area, as does anywhere outside the country.

The delivery times quoted are estimates in business days. Ownership of the pieces, and responsibility for loss or damage, moves to you once the carrier delivers the parcel to your shipping address. The full detail is in the Shipping Policy.

Sending pieces back

You may return a piece within 30 days of delivery if it is unused and in the original packaging. Before you post it, ask us at support@dtstudiosupply.com for a return authorization and the address to use. The postage to send it back is yours to pay. The refund is made to the original payment method within 5 business days of the parcel reaching our warehouse.

A kit counts as one item for returns: the whole kit comes back together, each piece unused and still in its packaging.

Each step is laid out in the Returns Policy. These terms do not take away any right that consumer protection law gives you.

Working with the supplies

Art and craft supplies are tools and materials. The notes below are general guidance for using them at home. They do not replace the directions printed on a product’s packaging, which you should read and keep.

  • Children. Our supplies are sold to adults. When children use them, an adult should choose what is suitable, set up the work area and stay with them. Keep paints, charcoal, glue sticks and small parts out of reach of young children and pets, and never let them go in the mouth.
  • Hot tools. The nozzle of a hot glue gun and the melted glue get hot enough to burn. Rest the gun on its wire stand, keep fingers clear of the tip, unplug it when you are done, let it cool before you put it away, and keep the cable away from water and from where someone could trip on it.
  • Blades and edges. When you cut on a cutting mat, use a sharp blade and a steel ruler, cut away from your body and your other hand, and keep blades covered and stored out of reach when not in use. Palette knives have thin steel blades: handle them by the handle.
  • The work area. Work in a room with fresh air, cover tables and floors before you start, keep food and drink away from your materials, wash your hands after painting or drawing with charcoal, and wipe up charcoal dust with a damp cloth rather than blowing it.
  • Furniture and power. Set up the easels, the drafting table and the rolling cart as their instructions describe and stand them on a level floor. Tighten the knobs before you hang a canvas or work on a tilted top, set the cart’s caster brakes when it is parked, and do not overload a tray or shelf. Keep the tracing light pad and its cable dry.

This guidance is offered as plain advice, not as a statement about how any product will perform or about any outcome from using it.

What we are liable for

We try to keep the site correct and online, but cannot promise it will never go down or never contain a mistake. As far as the law permits, the site and everything on it come “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty other than those set out in these terms or that the law does not let us exclude. The supplies are sold for ordinary art and craft use, and nothing on the site claims that one is fit for any other purpose.

As far as the law permits, we accept no liability for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, that comes from using the site or any product. For any claim about an order, the most we will pay is what you paid for that order.

These limits do not apply where the law forbids them, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and liability for fraud.

Claims caused by misuse

Should someone else bring a claim against us because you broke these terms or misused the site, you will meet the reasonable losses and costs that claim causes us, as far as the law permits.

Utah law and the courts

The law of the State of Utah, United States, governs these terms and any disagreement over them or over an order, and its conflict of law rules do not apply. A claim has to be filed in a state or federal court in Utah, and both of us accept the authority of those courts.

Please write to us first, so we have a chance to settle the matter between us. Living in another state does not take away any consumer protection of that state which cannot be waived.

The fine print

Should a court find one of these terms unenforceable, every other term still applies. Not insisting on a term at once does not stop us insisting on it later. Your rights under these terms stay with you and cannot be handed to anyone else unless we agree.

These terms are revised from time to time. Each order is governed by the terms published here on the day it is placed.
